DIY Baby Footprint Keepsake

What do you think is the best gift for new parents? A baby KEEPSAKE. Yes, what’s sweeter than gifting them the keepsake of their baby’s footprint or handprint? Here is one of the low cost and easiest DIY Baby footprint keepsakes I would like to share with you.

All that you need:

1. Disposable thermocol plate
2. Pen
3. Wall Putty (I used Birla Wall putty)
4. Water
5. Fevicol
6. Golden glitter

Process:

Step 1:

Add 1/2 cup of water (or a little more until you get the below consistency) to 3/4 cup of putty to form a mixture and put it to a side. Make sure there are no lumps in the mixture.

Step 2:

Now, take a disposable thermocol plate and place your baby’s foot on it (or hand which ever you would like to make a keepsake of) and draw the border line.

Step 3:

Pour the prepared mixture into the plate and let it dry for 2 – 3 days (till it becomes hard).

Step 4:

Carefully take out the hardened putty from the disposable thermocol plate (it might break if you don’t remove it carefully). Once you remove you will find the foot impression on it as below.

Now, draw the outline of the toes to give it a complete look like in the below image.

Step 5:

Apply Fevicol or glue on the impression and pour golden glitter on it. Remove the unwanted or extra glitter from the impression and let it dry for 15 minutes.

Step 6:

Trim the border to give it a perfect look.

That’s it. The baby KEEPSAKE is ready.
